girl, I feel a little like my heart took a swim in my stomach juices, but that's okay.
i met a golden man
who rose into my chest like the morning sun,
and he woke up that wary heart.
squinting one eye half-blind to love,
I read his words and basically get all born again-like:
an oil-soaked bird fresh from a bath of Dawn,
let back to fly over the sea,
a waving suit of white, my flag.
there's that old wisdom awakened inside me, pulled up from the dam,
whispering about a new kind of peace I think I heard about.
