caretaker
my heart is dried out and hard.

the little girl inside me can have it.
i think she's the only one i can trust with it now.

she can cut it in half and empty out the dust.

she can hold one part in each hand like a cup. then she'll have a place to cry all her tears into.

maybe it'll water my heart back to life.

and she'll sew it back together. i forgot to teach her how to sew. she seems like the type to try.

maybe if i ask nice, she'll put it back, better than she found it.
